It's not too late to complete the Application for Educational Benefits.
If you have recently experienced a decrease in income or an increase in household size, your students may qualify for educational benefits, including free or reduced price meals. Students that qualify before June 30 will carry those benefits into the next school year for the first 30 school days. The form must be completed each school year and submitted to the District Food and Nutrition Services Office for review and approval.
Parents/guardians may complete the Application for Educational Benefits online at www.isd191.org/edbenefits. Forms may also be printed from this website and are available at each school and the district office. The process is SAFE, SECURE, PRIVATE and AVAILABLE anytime, anywhere! Select Minnesota as the state and Burnsville-Eagan-Savage as the school district. Follow the easy to use, step-by-step screens to enter student and household information.
Families receiving MN Family Investment Program (MFIP), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) and foster children may be directly certified by the State of Minnesota to receive free meals and may not need to complete an application. If you are unsure of your student's status or have questions about the application process, please call 952-707-2051 or email aterwilliger@isd191.org.
