Today, Burnsville High School held its “Spring Senior Meeting” to share important graduation and other information with 12th graders. [See the Presentation] We want to make sure families have the same information, especially as this year’s graduation ceremony will be in a new location away from the BHS campus. 

To help ensure everyone is ready for graduation, we’ll be sending regular updates like this with information about the ceremony, the venue, how to attend or watch online, and much more. Please watch for more information in the coming weeks. 

Facility Overview

The Lee & Penny Anderson Arena at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul is a brand-new, multipurpose arena. With seating for about 3,500 people, the arena hosts NCAA Division I basketball and hockey games, and the school will use it for its own graduation ceremonies starting in spring 2026.

Tickets

• Each student will receive 5 tickets for their family.
• Tickets will be distributed electronically and cannot be duplicated.

Important Dates

• April 3 - Deadline to apply to speak or perform at Graduation
• May 1 - Decision Day at BHS (celebrate your post-graduation plans!)
• May 4-5 - Cap & Gown distribution
• May 13 - Senior Scholarship Awards, 6-8 p.m., Mraz Center
• May 29 - Graduate Parade at District 191 elementary schools

BAHS & VA Graduation

As a reminder, BAHS will also host its own graduation ceremony on May 29 at 4 p.m., and One91 Virtual Academy will share a video honoring 2026 graduates. 

BAHS and VA graduates also have the option to participate in the BHS ceremony.
