Attention current 10th & 11th graders: the Burnsvillestrong Leadership group at BHS is currently accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year. Fill out this application by April 8th! Want more information? We will be meeting in B112 on March 23rd at 7:30am or 2:45pm. We'd love to meet you and share all the good stuff we do here at Burnsville High School & in the community. HOSA

Are you interested in Medical Profession in the future? Are you interested in competitions? Then come hear about how you can compete in a variety of medical fields this Monday, March 14 in B130 at 2:45 pm.  Hosa is hosting the meeting for all BHS students who want to participate in competition in St. Cloud on April 25-26.

Competitions include dentistry, pharmacy, emergency medicine, sports medicine, nursing, veterinary medicine and MANY MORE!

Please come and check it out! Contact Ms Demsey, Mrs Stachowski or Ms Weightman if you have any questions.


ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS:

Order a Senior Class of 2022 yard sign today!  The yard signs are a great way to celebrate your senior and show your Blaze spirit! 

Signs are $15 each can be ordered online at  https://suemzastrow.wixsite.com/bhs-2022-seniorparty. Paper order forms are also available in the school office.  Orders due by March 31, 2022.


SPRING Sports Registration: 

The 2021-22 BHS SPRING Sports online rSchoolToday registration is OPEN; https://isd191-ar.rschooltoday.com/ Please use your same email, username, and password if you are a Returning User from the 2021-22 school year OR this past 2021 Spring athletic season.  Below are the start/tryout dates for the spring sports offered.  

You will need to have a VALID - current sports physical on file with the BHS Athletics Office in order to participate. This is a requirement of the MSHSL and BHS.  Students CANNOT participate without it!   The rSchoolToday registration will automatically show the date of the athlete’s last sports physical on file with BHS. Please click on the link to print off a blank copy of the MSHSL Sports Qualifying Physical Examination Form:     https://www.mshsl.org/sites/default/files/2020-07/2020-21-sqpe-3-25-20.pdf

Upcoming Blazette Meetings and Try Out Dates for 2022 Fall Season:  

**Blazettes Dance Team Fall 2022 Rookie/Parent info meeting: Mon. May 2nd, 2022 6:00-7:00pm, BHS activity building room A25.  Please enter the building through Door #1.  

**Blazettes Dance Team Fall 2022 Tryouts: Mon May 9th-Weds May 11th, 2022 3:30-6:00pm, BHS activity building dance studio (2nd floor).  Please enter the building through Door #1 and walk upstairs.  


Chess Club Fundraiser

Foil your dinner plans and stop by the Chipotle at 728 County Road 42 W in Burnsville for our fundraiser on Tuesday, March 15 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. The Nicollet Knights Chess Club is proud to announce our annual online auction starting Sunday March 13th through Friday March 25th.  Online auction items include chess equipment, chess lessons from many masters and sites, online yoga classes,  gift certificates, gift baskets, gift cards for gas, dining, groceries, auto services, PIZZA,  painting, activities and so much more!

 Baseball Season Kick-Off  Fundraiser

Burnsvillestrong is now accepting applications for leaders who want to be part of the Burnsvillestrong leadership club at BHS. Students need to be in 11th or 12th grade next year. Our group is for students who want to make a difference at BHS! Check out more by attending our informational meeting on Thursday, March 17th in C180 at 7:15am. BHS Spring Season Trap Shooting: 

Spring Season Registration is open until Friday, March 11th.  REGISTER TODAY! 

We will be practicing on SUNDAYS (1PM-4PM) and MONDAYS (4PM-6PM) this season.  Please note that start times for Trap Shooters may vary.  We will be able to better plan for this once we know the numbers for each day.  For more information, please email bhstrapshooting@gmail.com or visit our website at www.bhstrap.com.


College Fair:

Don’t miss this opportunity to check out up to 60 Colleges and Universities from the 5 state area, right here at Burnsville High School! On Wednesday, March 9th from 2:30 - 4:00 in the afternoon, BHS will host a MNACC (Minnesota Association of Counselors of Color) COLLEGE FAIR!

College Representatives are prepared to answer your questions about degrees and programs, admission requirements, scholarships, tuition, and any other questions you may have.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see 50 to 60 Colleges and Universities all in one place at BHS. There is an activity bus at 4:30 if transportation is needed.

Free and open to the public.


BHS Baseball: 

There will be a mandatory player informational meeting for ALL 10th-12th grade Burnsville High School students interested in playing baseball on Wednesday, March 9th from 2:45 - 3:30 PM. The meeting will be held in Coach Banitt’s room, E214. Bring a pen or pencil. If you are not able to attend the meeting, please see Coach Banitt as soon as possible to pick up some forms.

It has been a long time.  Hope you are all doing well.  We will have our next meeting on Wednesday 3/9.  We will be talking about a potential field trip to a college or a Virtual Trip to a college.  Please email me back what colleges you are interested in learning about and I will see what I can do.

Girls Golf

Hey girls!  Are you looking for a fun sport to play this spring?  Come join the girls golf team!  No experience necessary!  We have a great group of girls to hang out with, enjoy being outside and learning a lifelong sport.  If interested, contact Lori VanderWoude at lvanderwoude@isd191.org OR attend our pre-season meeting on Feb. 28th.  The spring sports meeting with AD Guillaume Paek will begin at 6:00 in the Mraz and then we will have a golf specific meeting in A26 immediately following.

Burnsville High School Baseball Boosters will be hosting a Bingo/Silent Auction & Raffle fundraiser Saturday March 12th at Neisen’s Sports Bar in Savage Minnesota.  The evening begins at 6:00 pm and will conclude at 9:00 pm. Enjoy an evening of Bingo, bid on amazing sports themed packages & memorabilia, and Meat Raffle. Winners can claim and pay for their items at the conclusion of bidding,  accepting: Cash, Check, or Credit Card as payment.  All proceeds support BHS Baseball.

BHS Wrestling News: Congratulations to the BHS wrestlers who placed in the 2AAA Sectional on Saturday!

  • 138 lbs Xavier Ripplinger CHAMPION!

As the Sectional Champion, Xavier Ripplinger qualified for  the MN State High School Championships next weekend; March 3-5, 2022!
