Students build community through service projects on Green Apple Day of Service

 

On Saturday, Oct. 2, Burnsville High School student-volunteers participated in Green Apple Day of Service, a day of action to transform schools into safe, healthy and sustainable learning environments. 

Students signed up for different time slots during the day to clean up areas of the campus, from the front and back parking lots and Pates Stadium to the tennis courts and athletics fields. 

“I can’t tell you how proud I am of all our students volunteering their time to help clean the campus and demonstrating a sense of community and belonging at BHS,” said Youth Services Coordinator Courtnee Jackson Floback.

Students who volunteered are:

The list of students includes those who volunteered as part of a school group or team, including Alpine Ski, AVID, BurnsvilleStrong and National Honor Society.
