Blaze Robotics qualifies for international competition after winning streak

The Burnsville High School Robotics team is ranked No. 1 in Minnesota and headed to the 2023 FIRST Robotics Championship in Houston after winning back-to-back regional competitions in March. 

Blaze Robotics was the winner at the Heartland Regional Tournament in Kansas March 16-18 and then repeated the accomplishment at the Central Missouri Regional Tournament the following weekend. The results leave the team top-ranked in Minnesota, No. 26 in the country and No. 40 among more than 3,000 teams worldwide.  

Team members include Will Moe, Kyan Ponzio, Ethan Jacobson, Aiden Goberdhan, Aiden Peterson, Carter Bonnell, Katie Nguyen, Anthony Nguyen, and Seamus Boos, with coaches Crystal Huynh, Sean Lenhardt, Scott McDowell, Craig Huber, Tonya Peters, Dave Peters and Jack Lyons.
