Preschool Lab at Burnsville High School has openings for 2023
Preschool Lab is a course offered at Burnsville High School for preschool children from the community.
High school students, under the direction of Family and Consumer Sciences teachers, gain experience in teaching and working with children in a preschool lab setting.
The preschool children will participate in engaging hands-on activities. Preschool Lab provides opportunities for children to gain social-emotional skills through interactions with their peers and the high school teachers. Learning activities include art, music, math, science, literacy, games, and more.
Preschool Lab will run in two sessions: October 9 through January 9, and March through May. Classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:50-11:20 a.m. or 9:50 a.m.-1:35 p.m. The cost is $20 per session.
Eligible preschool children are 3-5 years old and fully toilet-trained. Students with special needs should be served through the District 191 early childhood special education (ECSE) program. Please visit the District 191 website at www.isd191.org for more information about ECSE.
